FORESIGHT
The tourism sector is facing changes at unprecedented speed and magnitude. To cope with these rapid and often complex changes, a new approach to strategy and planning is required. More than ever, strategy work needs to embrace uncertainty and consider disruptive forces. Foresight is the act of thinking about future changes in your operating environment. Taking a longer perspective allows you to
-
get a head-start in understanding future changes and its impact on your organisation,
-
ensure your strategies are agile and future-proof,
-
gain competitive advantage.
But foresight is difficult for many organisations, as possibilities and their impacts increase considerably with a longer time horizon. Let me help you with this forward-looking strategy process.

ABOUT ME
I am Professor of Tourism at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons in Switzerland, Founding Director of Studies of the worldwide first tourism master specifically focusing on change and member of the executive board of a destination marketing organisation in the Swiss Alps.
As a researcher and consultant, I have worked on tourism projects on diverse topics such as innovation, digital transformation, mobility and health. Before settling in Switzerland, I have worked in Argentina, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Spain and the UK.
I draw on this varied experience when I explore change factors, imagine possible futures, design strategies and help organisations act on these strategies.
